AAI Engineering provided construction engineering services to the general contractor for the new 31-story Escala Building located at 4th and Virginia Street in Seattle, Washington. AAI’s primary scope was to ensure adequate strength and stability during the construction of the multi-level post-tensioned concrete structure. Work included analysis of the structural member’s early cure strength, coordination of the design of shoring at the pour strips, support at pump booms, and reshoring through-out all levels, consistent with the contractor’s construction sequencing.
